Origami Star - DIY Origami Star Tutorial.

 

 Hi all,

This post is about origami. Yes origami is one of my favorite hobby. I can do origami any time and all day.
This origami star is made using 6 square sheets of paper. No glue required to assemble them. I usually give them as gifts during Christmas to friends and teachers of my daughter.

I used 2.5inch square sheet of paper to make this star. we need 6 sheets each 2.5 inch.

Fold the sheet in half both sides and fold  diagonally both corners

When you fold the half again on all four sides, you get something like below.

This is the final module folded .

 

When we assemble the 6 modules together it almost looks like a cube. we don't need glue to assemble the 6 folded modules.

 

 Final step is to fold the edges of the cube inwards.

 

Attach the lace to the star to hang it as an ornament.

Thank you Card - DIY Simple Pop up Card

My daughter wanted to give a thank you card for her teacher  before the summer break starts.

So we (my daughter and me) made a simple card for her teacher.

materials used

1. cardstock - I used recollections 65lb cardstock from Michaels store.
2. Embossing folder  - From Ac Moore store
3. Spellbinders dies for flowers and leaves
4. Sizzix Kite die for the kite
5. Nicole's  Mason jar die from Ac Moore store

I used the basic single pop up mechanism inside the card.

3D origami swan

This is origami swan. I used around 350 small rectangular piece of  paper to create this.

Though this is the time consuming project I love the end product.

I usually give them as gifts to friends and teachers. They all love it.

Flower Basket

Hi all,

This post is about paper flower baskets. Its very simple and easy to make.

Materials Used to make these baskets

1. Cardstock - You can use any type of cardstocks. I used Recollections 65 lb cardstock from Michaels Stores.
2. We are memory Keepers Flower punch board.
3. Small flower punches for the decorations.

You can use the border punches to make handle.

I used we are memory keepers 123 punch board to make the bow.

 

 

We can use these baskets as gift baskets for any occasions. We can also use them as Easter baskets.

The simple card made simple ways

 I created a card for my daughter s 6 th Birthday. As schools are closed my daughter who also likes crafts, wanted to choose the colors for her card. I agreed. So the end product came out as a colorful glittery card.

This card is a pop up card. As my daughter is turned 6 I used 6 cupcake dies as the pop ups inside the card.

We both enjoyed creating this card.
